Software set-up to suit you

How to set-up and configure VirtualDJ. Configure HID devices, skin set-up, text to screen, searching for tracks, loading tracks, creating a playlist, volume equalisation, etc.

Screen configuration

How to set-up a screen/screens. Making use of existing screens at locations, configuring channels and switching your laptop information to suit the screen set-up, configuring and using S-video, VGA and co-axle cables.

Converting media

We show you how to convert standard DVD to MP4 and other common files that work with VDJ. Convert files keeping the quality of the original file whilst reducing storage required needed.

Laptop mefraintenance

In this section we teach you how to keep your laptop in peak performance. Simple steps like how to defragment your hard drive and also reduce running programs.

Mixing techniques and tips from highly-skilled club DJs

How to blend tracks, set the BPM, use sound effects, adjust bass, treble and mid-range controls and various others tricks that will enhance your music performance.

Microphone Technique

How to use a microphone correctly. Tips on microphone equalisation and on what to say (and not say) over the microphone.

Music planning for events

Ideas to help you plan the music for all types of events. Catering to clients requests, wedding first dances, background music etc.

Content

Music tips and content availability. We will also supply videos courtesy of MixMash. The training include free 15 Video File, which are all DJ Friendly.

　

Legalities/Licences

We explain the legalities and necessary licences need to play music videos in public. The course come complete with a one year mobile video DJ licence supplied by Video Performance Limited (VPL) who are the licensing organisation responsible for music video in the UK.

Selling yourself

We teach you how to market and sell yourself to potential and existing customers. What you can do to differentiate yourself in a crowded marketplace. Offer examples of how you can personalise events. How to sell Video DJing to maximise your earning potential.
